Mount Longonot Hiking – Day Hike
We now take you to the highest point of the Great Rift Valley to give you an opportunity to experience themarvelous  and flxeible wild of Kenya.  Mt Longonot is simply under 2780m (9100ft) above ocean level with a tree-filled inside and a forlorn steam vent to the northeast. This mountain trekk is a perfect day trip from either Nairobi or Naivasha.

Rising from the floor of the Great Rift Valley like a monolith is the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot. A unique feature is the thick forest that lies within the crater of the mountain. The crater rim also provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Lake Naivasha. Major wildlife attractions at Mount Longonot include buffaloes, elands, lion, leopard, bushbucks, common zebra, giraffe and Grant’s gazelles.

07:30 am: Pick from hotel in Nairobi
09:00am: Arrival at Mount Longonot National Park Gate for registration

09:30am: Start the hike
13:30pm: Descend and transfer for lunch

15:00pm: Start journey back to Nairobi

16:30pm: 17:00pm: Drop off at hotel

Not Included in the price of the hiking: Accommodation, Personal insurance, visas, items of a personal nature, tips, drinks.

What to bring: Day pack, camera, sunhat, enough drinking water, waterproof clothing, sunscreen, hiking boots, walking poles (optional) and warm fleece.

A visit to Mombasa Marine Park and National Reserve reveal Warm azure ocean, swaying coconut palms on white sandy beaches. The park lies between the Mtwapa and Tudor Creeks and its blue waters are ideal for wind surfing, water skiing, snorkeling and diving. This is a 74 m scenic waterfall at the Ewaso Narok river, which drains from the Aberdare Mountain Ranges. It is situated near Nyahururu Town in central Kenya, and was discovered in 1883 by Joseph Thomson, a Scottish Geologist and naturalist who was the first European to walk from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the early 1880s. The mist feeds the dense forest below and visitors can view the falls from above. There is also a nature trail down to the bottom of the ravine. Up stream from the falls is one of the highest hippo pools in Kenya. The Thompson Falls are popular with campers, picnickers, day trippers and travelers on transit to points north. The falls are located 3 hour drive from Nairobi and neighbors Lake Ol Bolossat, numerous wetlands and swamps. In this park you can watch hippos, enjoy picnics and wetland trekking. The park is also rich in bird species.

Nairobi National Park, the only Wildlife Park situated in a
capital city in the world, is uniquely is tucked 10 kms away from the bustling city centre of Nairobi Kenya. You’ll experience a presence of several wild animal species roaming within the park that include the four members of the Big Five with an exception of the African Elephant. Others are large predators – lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetah. Large herbivores – elands, cape buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, black rhinoceros and other species including diverse bird life. WE also have Ivory Burning Site Monument, Walking
trails at Hippo pools within Nairobi Safari Walk and the Animal Orphanage.

The Nairobi Animal Orphanage is located in the Nairobi National Park. It serves a treatments and rehabilitation centre for wild animals. The Orphanage hosts lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, several cats, rare Sokoke cats, warthogs, leopards, various monkeys, baboons and buffalo. Various birds can also be viewed including parrots, guinea fowls, crowned cranes and ostriches.

A half-day tour option gives you an alternative of combining either
Carnivore Restaurant with a safari within the urban Nairobi National Park or Carnivore with a safari walk within the famous Nairobi Safari Walk as well as the Kenyan Zoo that is commonly known as the Animal Orphanage. Carnivore Restaurant is famous for its succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat. Many find it an excellent choice of visit as welcome or farewell after a well
